CCMC 2024 Registration

Week 1: July 13–19  | Week 2: July 20–26

Registration for 2024 summer camps opens in February.

To reserve a space, you must send a completed registration form and a $200 deposit.

There are three ways to register for CCMC:

  • Register online using the Online Registration Form and pay your deposit with PayPal. After you submit your form, follow the instructions to use PayPal.
  • Register online using the Online Registration Form and mail a check with your deposit to CCMC, P.O. Box 523, Bellingham, WA, 98227-0523.
  • Print the Registration Form PDF on this page, fill it in, and mail it with your deposit check to CCMC, P.O. Box 523, Bellingham, WA, 98227-0523.

Each camper must submit a registration form. We encourage you to register online, even if you plan to pay by check.

If you are applying for a scholarship: The deposit is $50. Register and pay the deposit; after submitting your application, you will be taken to the Scholarships page. Download the Scholarship application, and follow the instructions for sending us the completed application.

If you want to sign up for both weeks: The deposit is $400. We will register you in your preferred week (as indicated on your registration form) and put you on the wait list (if there is one) for your second week.

Balance: Sometime after we receive your registration and deposit, we’ll email you to confirm your lodging and balance amount. The email will include instructions and links for paying your balance, which is due June 1. (Return to this page and click Pay With PayPal, or go directly to PayPal and send the appropriate amount to California Coast Music Camp.)

Covid: CCMC no longer requires proof of vaccination for attendees. In the interest of keeping everyone as safe as possible, CCMC asks all attendees to take an at-home test within 24 hours before your departure to camp. If you are not feeling well, please do not come even if you test negative.

Lodging and Prices

The $1440 base price includes all meals, instruction, materials, and lodging in one of the following:

  • A bed in a cabin, with a total of 3 people. All cabins have electricity. Each cabin has 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds.
  • Your own tent (spots are limited).
  • An RV (spots are limited). RVs must be a maximum of 21 feet long; there are no hook-ups.

Bath houses with toilets and showers are a short walk for anyone in a cabin, tent, or RV. There are also a few beds in houses (not private rooms), which have common-area living rooms and kitchens. If you request and are assigned one of the following options, there is a surcharge:

  • A bed in one of the houses ($400 extra).
  • A cabin by yourself ($500) or with only one other person ($250 per person).
  • An RV ($100 extra per RV).

When you register, choose your top two lodging choices. You’ll be notified of your housing assignment approximately three weeks before the start of each session. If you owe a surcharge, you’ll pay it at that time.

Who Can Register

CCMC is primarily for adults 18 and older; some students ages 14–17 are accepted on a case-by-case basis (contact us for more information). No pets allowed (not even adorable, well-behaved ones).

Cancellations

If you cancel by June 1, we will refund all money received, less a $100 handling fee. If you cancel between June 1 and two days before your session begins, we will refund all but $200. No refunds starting from two days before your session begins. Registrations are not transferable. Send any questions or cancellation requests to info@musiccamp.org.

The Waiting List

If your preferred week is full when you register, you can do one of the following:

  • Register for the other week (if there is room).
  • Register for your preferred week or for the first available opening (which may mean the other week). Pay by check, which we will not cash until you acknowledge that you can still attend on the available week.
  • Join the waiting list for your preferred week. If you don’t make it off the list, we’ll refund your deposit.

Typically, everyone who stays on the waiting list gets into camp, but it might not happen until a day or two before camp begins (of course, we can’t promise you’ll get in). We average 10 to 12 cancellations for each week from registered campers. Some people on the waiting list cancel also. Campers as high on the waiting list as #36 have gotten in, usually at the last minute. If you cancel from the waiting list or don’t make it into camp, we’ll return all the money you’ve sent us.

Arrival & Departure

Check-in at camp starts at noon on Saturday of each week.

To help create a familiar community where everyone feels welcome and safe, we strongly discourage late arrivals. If you have obligations that delay your arrival until after 6 p.m. on Saturday, please CALL US at 360-224-8007 so we’ll know when to expect you. There is no pro-rated tuition if you arrive late.

Arrivals after Saturday and drop-in visitors are not allowed.

Camp is over after breakfast on Friday. If you absolutely must leave early, you can of course do so. However, tuition is not pro-rated if you leave early.
